Textured Items Redefine Modern Space Design

This spring’s textile launches blend soft touch with stimulating visuals to create memorable, tactile interiors. Products like Wool, velvet, bouclé, and chenille are being used to shape space through texture.
Textile Innovations
Pompeii by Wolf-Gordon, designed with Studioestudio, is a geometric, PVC-free wallcovering collection inspired by Frank Stella’s Black Paintings and ancient Pompeii mosaic motifs. The collection comprises three modules—Left Curve, Lines, and Right Curve—available in four patterns: Agros, Nebula, Terra, and Solis.
The modules can be combined into endless compositions, offered in ten colorways ranging from soft and powdery to subdued and ethereal.
Acoustic Design
Sabin, a company founded in Chicago in 2021, is redefining acoustic lighting with its signature sewn construction, eliminating toxic adhesives. The new LINEAR series is a modular acoustic baffle lighting system that helps shape both the visual and auditory character of a space.
The LINEAR series is available in two profiles, Standard and Stadia, with every component customizable in color, felt, power cord, suspension, and light source.
HBF Textiles’ Feel & Form upholstery collection explores how texture alters spatial perception at the furniture scale. The collection comprises five distinct patterns, including Velvet Cord and Velvet Mix, which feature pronounced ribbed structures that reflect light directionally.
Sustainable Textiles
Mohawk Group’s carpet tile, Textorial, sets a new standard for environmental stewardship in commercial flooring. The collection is made of Duracolor fiber, which offers a biomimetic look of wool and incorporates a minimum of 30 percent recycled content.

The tiles are 100 percent recyclable through the group’s ReCover Program and can be combined with EcoFlex ONE backing, a recyclable and 100 percent carbon-neutral backing.
Other notable textile launches include FilzFelt’s new acoustic wall panels, designed by Bernd Benninghoff, which lend a sculptural approach to acoustic design. The panels are crafted from natural wool felt and a high-performance Akustika substrate containing 60 percent postconsumer recycled content.
As the demand for sustainable and aesthetically pleasing textiles continues to grow, companies like Mohawk Group and FilzFelt are at the forefront of innovation, providing designers with a range of options to shape space through texture.
Upholstery and Acoustic Solutions
Hush Acoustics’ Solstice collection allows designers to mix and match tile patterns and colors to create bold mosaics that complement architecture or branding while enhancing acoustic comfort. The collection is 100 percent PET, with 60 percent made from recycled material.
Edelman Leather’s new offerings—Fount, Arc, and Ether—highlight the materials’ inherent beauty through a simple use of color and local culture and climate inspired design. Fount is available in classic tones with transparent dyes that complement subtle variations within each hide.
Unika Vaev’s Pelle Collection, in collaboration with Pavoni, features three distinct patterns that offer a fusion of acoustic innovation and Italian leather artistry. The collection is Red List Compliant and made from 100 percent PET containing 60 percent recycled content.
These textile launches demonstrate a commitment to sustainability, aesthetics, and functionality, providing designers with a range of options to shape space through texture and create unique spaces.
