Posted onThe colours and styles you choose for your front room or living space should obviously reflect your personal style, but sometimes it can be difficult to decide on a colour scheme or style that will fit with the rest of your home and work with the space you already have. UK fashion designer Hussein Chalayan is contributing a series of wearable devices that will detect the emotions of museum visitors and project them into the surrounding space for a piece called Room Tone that will explore anxieties related to city living.
Modern art in the form of the beautiful Rachael Nee piece from the Cube Gallery London is hung in a simple frame above the fireplace whilst from the back of the room the frame itself is framed within the confines of the Jacques Vanroose Challenge sculpture.
The abundance of possibilities makes it feel as though nothing is good enough—before you know it you’ve gone two months without purchasing so much as a lamp because you have to wonder if lamps are even necessary when you already have overhead lighting (yes) or if that 3×5 rug is big enough for your living room (no).
